Each males lock up within the middle of the ring. They chain wrestle, neither man gaining a bonus. Reed slid out of the ring, and DJZ chased after him. Reed ran around the ring and attempted to catch DJZ off guard by shortly sliding back in, but DJZ was quick sufficient to keep away from the lure, inflicting Reed to overlook with an elbow. DJZ rolled into the ring off Reeds again, then hit a standing dropkick, adopted by another dropkick jaw-buster. DJZ reverse leapfrogged over Reed after which hit a springboard again elbow. Reed slid out of the ring, however DJZ was capable of hit a dive, by way of the turnbuckles and crash into Reed. DJZ pandered to the gang and received a small chant. DJZ hit a slingshot crossbody and followed that up with a springboard moonsault however Reed received his knees up. DJZ took to the surface. Reed lept excessive rope and hit DJZ with a crossbody to the surface. The two exchanged chops on the surface. Back contained in the ring, Reed was in offensive management, working DJZ in a headlock. DJZ was capable of get a boot up and kicked a charging Reed within the face. DJZ hit a pounce clothesline on Reed before hitting a neckbreaker. DJZ hit a operating again elbow, but Reed was capable of hit Reed with an Enzeguri when he went for an additional one. Reed hit DJZ with a pair of cutters and obtained a two rely. Reed argued with the ref concerning the rely. Reed then went to the highest rope, but DJZ was capable of knock Reed’s legs out from underneath him. The 2 battled on the top rope until Reed was capable of hit an Enzeguri on DJZ and ship him crashing to the ring. Reed then attempted a springboard senton, however DJZ was capable of counter that right into a powerbomb. DJZ attempted to hit his ZDT, but Reed was capable of counter, and ultimately, Reed caught DJZ in a leverage pin, using the tights to realize an advantage and choosing up the victory.
WINNER: Myron Reed
(Karcher’s Evaluation: Not a nasty little match. Reed and DJZ each have super athletic expertise. Their characters are lackluster or nonexistent and neither man is involved in any sort of storyline in the meanwhile, so this match felt a tad anticlimactic. There actually didn’t feel like a lot stakes for this one because it’s unclear who is who within the middleweight division in the mean time. They need to spend a while making an attempt to straighten out that division, Seeing as they are operating thin on primary occasion talent, the middleweight division can be an ideal place to check new guys out and provides them one thing necessary to do when you build them up. As an alternative, the division simply feels like the leftovers that aren’t ok for the primary event.)
They played a video package deal for MLW’s next stay event Intimidation Video games in Chicago on March 2nd
They aired a promo from Teddy Hart and Brian Pillman Jr. during which they reply questions from the fans. The primary query was which girlfriend will Pillman take out for Valentine’s day. Pillman couldn’t determine and chose to answer no remark. He implied he had a girlfriend in each town they’ve wrestled in thus far. The subsequent question requested Hart which Pussy (which means cat) would he play with on Valentine’s Day. Hart joked round you can get thrown off TV speaking like that. They confirmed Hart’s cats, Caspian, and Mr. Velvet. Apparently, Hart also has a cat rescue with over 35 cats. fascinating. Someone asked for advice on spicing up his 25-year marriage. Hart steered a swingers club. The subsequent question asked if Davey Boy Smith was single. Hart stated he thinks he’s, should you don’t rely asian tub houses. Somebody asked if Davey is as huge as he appears on TV. Hart requested for clarification on whether or not they have been referring to the shorts or the stature of the man. Hart claimed he was in all probability pretty massive but didn’t know for positive. Last query, hair or no hair? Hart stated it is determined by the place they’re referring to, but he stated no hair if they are talking about what he thinks they’re. Pillman stated he doesn’t like bald ladies until they donated their hair for charity. Hart mistakenly thought Pillman was still referring to pubic hair and advised Pillman that they don’t take that sort of hair. Until it’s actually curly he added on. Pillman wished the viewers a cheerful Valentines’s day. Hart acquired distracted by Pillman’s BeIn sports activities sunglasses and put them on. He stated all the things is totally different once you look by means of glasses that Pillman Jr. has worn. He stated you see what he sees which is nothing but success.
(2) Gringo Loco vs. Puma King
Puma did some very strange stuff with the ropes earlier than the match, laying in between the top and middle rope, and shimmied his means from one turnbuckle to the subsequent like that. Puma charged at Loco, but Loco was capable of leap over puma and avoid the assault. The 2 exchanged a powerful amount of Lucha Libre type chain maneuvers, ending in a standstill. Puma went to shake arms, but pulled his hand away final second and licked his hand like a cat. Puma then hit Loco with an enormous knee to the chest. Puma pandered to the gang a did just a little dance. Loco was capable of hit a spinning hurricanrana, and Puma responded with one in every of his own. Puma king hit a cross physique from the ring onto Loco on the ground. Again contained in the ring, Puma went to the top rope and hit an enormous crossbody then a superkick. The gang was chanting mildly for Puma. Puma bailed to the surface but Loco hit a diving frontflip onto Puma over the top rope and to the floor under. Again inside the ring, Loco hit a corkscrew elbow for a two rely. Puma hit a prime rope codebreaker and used a Lucha Libre type pinning mixture for a two rely. Puma seemed as if he was going to attempt a sundown flip powerbomb off the highest rope, however slipped, and Loco went for a moonsault, missing however landing on his ft, and ultimately hitting a springboard cutter on Puma for a near fall. Puma hit a spinebuster then a sunset bomb for a two rely. Puma went to the highest, however Loco recovered and knocked him down. Puma was capable of hit a head scissors from the top rope on Loco. Back up on the highest rope, Loco hit a Spanish fly from the top rope for the win.
WINNER: Gringo Loco
(Karcher’s Evaluation: Good match here. I really like Gringo Loco for reasons I’m not completely positive of. I’m glad he was capable of decide up the win here. Some good lucha action from two luchadors which might be a bit greater then what we are used to from that fashion of wrestling. A pair moves seemed a bit sloppy, and both males appeared to get winded earlier than the top of the match, however they still managed to placed on an honest match. The gang wasn’t very popular for this, sadly.)
They previewed The Lucha Bros making a choice on their future, which would occur later in the present.
They confirmed MJF backstage. He stated something has been pissing him off these days. He stated everyone is speaking about Teddy Hart redeeming himself. He stated he doesn’t perceive why, and why everyone is congratulating him when he put himself in that state of affairs. He stated he deserves congratulations. He stated he’s by no means been to jail or executed medicine or any of the opposite issues Hart has completed. He stated subsequent week he will beat down Hart and take back his title.
They confirmed an interview with Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer was asked about his upcoming tag match on the previous ECW area. Dreamer stated Pillman must be proud to wrestle in that area. An area during which countless wrestlers, Pillman’s father included, bled for their craft and made a reputation for themselves. He stated he has 2,000 relations he might choose as his associate. The interviewer requested if Dreamer would inform him who it might be. Dreamer stated identical to Christmas it’s a must to wait to see, and it’s going to be like Christmas morning when everyone sees his companion.
They aired a video package deal highlighting the return of Jimmy Havoc, who is returning quickly.
(three) Brian Pillman Jr. & Davey Boy Smith Jr. vs. Tommy Dreamer & The Sandman – No DQ
Pillman received on the mic and stated the sensible marks have been ready for this for a very long time, Pillman Jr. holding a mic in the 2300 area. He stated he wasn’t going to deliver out some washed up ECW junkie. He stated he had a constitutional right to select his companion. He stated he’s in Philly where the structure was written (He stated it in a sinister voice that was really unusual) He introduced Smith can be his companion. Dreamer obtained a nice pop and some ECW chants as he came out. Sandman obtained a very good reaction as properly, but not as massive as a number of the Home of Hardcore pops I’ve seen Sandman get in recent times. Sandman poured his beer down the throat of a fan at ringside, then proceeded to motorboat stated fan. I hope she gave prior consent. Sandman poured beer down the mouth of another followers and oddly hugged Teddy Hart as he walked around the ring. He jokes with one fan in a nice sweater who clearly didn’t need the beer. This lasted method too lengthy, however it was good to see The Sandman having fun with himself. Sandman spit beer in the face of Smith to start out the match. No DQ so I assume no tags both. I’ll do my greatest to recap the action but multiple issues happen simultaneously so I’ll do my greatest. Sandman and Pillman brawl on the surface, and so do Dreamer and Smith. Sandman smashed a beer on Pillman’s head. Dreamer instructed a fan to place his foot up and proceeded to slam Pillman into the fans waiting boot. That was awesome. Dreamer clanked Pillman and Smith’s heads collectively. It was unhappy watching Pillman sell for Sandman, and I perceive the nostalgic nature of the match, it’s just one thing to regulate and perhaps not have Pillman wanting this weak fairly often.
Dreamer and Sandman double-teamed Pillman hitting a double clothesline and a double elbow drop. Sandman didn’t look half dangerous at occasions. The chops to the chest have been clearly hurting Sandman’s hand though and he even stated so audibly. Dreamer tagged in (sure they went to a traditional tag match) and gave Pillman a suplex. Pillman was capable of battle back and hit a aspect Russian leg sweep on Dreamer. Smith tug in and commenced to work Dreamer and hold him away from Sandman. Smith tug Pillman back in, and Pillman took over hitting a bodyslam and elbow drop on Dreamer. Pillman and Smith double-teamed Dreamer in the corner and Smith tug in. Dreamer was capable of hit a DDT on Smith. Dreamer made the recent tag to the Sandman. (Sure, I wrote that in 2019) and Sandman took out Smith and hit a white Russian Leg Sweep on Pillman. Sandman seemed to be shaken up a bit from delivering that transfer. Sandman went for the duvet however was broken up by Smith. Smith threw Sandman to the surface and Dreamer hit a cutter on Smith out of nowhere.
Pillman was operating away from Sandman, who had a Singapore Cane in his hand, and Pillman Slipped on some spilled beer at ringside. The digital camera didn’t instantly catch it but you’ll be able to see it behind a hard digital camera shot. It was genuinely fairly humorous. Dreamer grabbed two chairs and threw them into the ring. Pillman was grabbing random gadgets from underneath the ring and throwing them in Sandman’s path as he stalked him with the Singapore Cane. Pillman reached underneath the ring one last time and pulled out a man by his legs. This man was revealed to be none other, then The Blue Meanie. Meanie received an enormous reaction from fans, and Striker questioned climate Meanie has been beneath the for the last 17 years. Pillman used Meanie as a defend, however Meanie rotated and decked Pillman, allowing Sandman the opportunity to crack Pillman with the cane throughout the again. As dreamer picked up Smith and tried to drive him via the 2 chairs Dreamer had arrange, Pillman raked the eyes of The Sandman and stole his can. Pillman then slid into the ring and cracked Dreamer within the face with the cane. Smith then powerbombed Dreamer via the chairs for the win.
WINNERS: Brian Pillman Jr. & Davey Boy Smith Jr.
(Karcher’s Evaluation: Whereas not probably the most technically sound match, this was a whole lot of enjoyable. The Sandman was a fantastic shock, (despite the fact that that was my more than likely guess) and he truly did really great for what he was requested to do. Meanie was a true shock and that entire sequence was completely timed. MLW did the appropriate thing by placing over the youthful guys, however I might have been completely happy both method, as seeing Dreamer and Sandman rejoice a victory would have been just as satisfying as seeing Pillman get one other win. Pillman stays my favourite MLW wrestler and the individual I most I see on this roster that has major celebrity potential. This match was one other step in the proper course. He’s so odd on the mic, as evident by his opening match promo, but he’s very fascinating and I’m all the time intrigued by whatever he finally ends up saying.)
They went backstage with Pentagon, Fenix, & Konnan. Konnan stated the world was wondering what they have been going to do. Fenix reduce a promo in English that was surprisingly audible. He stated they need to wrestle in all places, Japan, England, the US, and Mexico. He stated they are the perfect tag group on the earth. Pentagon reduce a promo that was subtitled. He stated they will wrestle wherever they need when they need, they usually don’t care who it’s. He stated in Chicago they will be ready in their home, MLW, waiting to take on any challenger.
They showed Tom Lawler leaving Membership Risque, a strip club in Philadelphia. (Not an excellent one BTW. Went to a bachelors get together there one time. I assume right according to Lawler’s “Filthy” mantra) He was requested what he was doing there and stated he was up all night time celebrating. He had the championship with him. He stated the work never stops if you’re Filthy Tom.
FINAL ANALYSIS: Good present. Nothing out of this world when it comes to the matches themselves, but some entertaining stuff throughout the present. It definitely didn’t drag this week. I actually loved the primary occasion this week, despite involving one man that in all probability shouldn’t be anyplace near a hoop in 2019. I can’t give The Sandman too arduous of a time, nevertheless, as he appeared about nearly as good as you would anticipate him to tonight. Pillman was as fascinating as ever. I’m unsure I really like the H2 TV segments, during which Hart and Pillman just goof off and say issues that result in innuendo. Some of its funny, and I don’t assume it goes as far as to be offensive, but when they overdo it, I might see the segments turning into much less and less entertaining. General another good episode of Fusion. Issues ought to start to take shape for Intimidation games arising March 2nd which may have one other reside particular to go together with the TV tapings. Hopefully beginning next week they may begin to develop some matches for that card. Next week we also have already introduced, MJF taking over Teddy Hart for the MLW Middleweight Championship. Ought to be a great one. I’m Kris Karcher and thanks for reading my report. Verify again next week for an additional report solely right here on PWTorch.com.
